Center in the Square
The "coolest" roof on the East Coast is starting to come together atop Center In The Square. The sustainable rooftop design includes a two-story butterfly habitat...and the steel has begun to go up! Moving forward, the roof will be a continuous hub of activity as the habitat continues construction. Watch out for:
- An outdoor classroom and laboratories to be an extension of the Science Museum of Western Virginia which is housed in Center In The Square
- A rooftop cafe
- An observation deck and fireplace
- Goldfish pon
Center in the Square is undergoing some exciting transformations. It's all brick ,motor, and dust now but by the end of 2012 Center in the Square will be reborn as an exciting center of culture and economic activity for the Roanoke Region, and a destination for miles.
